Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the ChessWithRahul website (chesswithrahul.in) and chess coaching services provided by Rahul, a personal chess coach based in Kandivali East, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. By booking a session or using this website, you agree to these terms.

1. Coaching Services

ChessWithRahul provides personal one-on-one chess coaching through private home tuition visits across Mumbai. Sessions are conducted by Rahul personally — not by any assistant or substitute coach.

• Standard session duration: 60 minutes
• Standard session fee: ₹1200 per session
• First trial session: FREE with no commitment
• Sessions are conducted at the student's home or agreed location
• All professional chess equipment is provided by the coach

2. Booking & Scheduling

• Sessions are booked via WhatsApp (+91 8591028709) or phone call
• A session is confirmed only after explicit confirmation from the coach
• Sessions are available Monday–Sunday, 9 AM to 9 PM
• Session timings are agreed mutually and may be adjusted based on availability

3. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

• Student cancellation: Please give at least 4 hours notice to cancel or reschedule a session. This allows us to offer the slot to other students.
• Same-day cancellation without adequate notice may result in the session being counted as attended.
• Coach cancellation: If the coach needs to cancel, sessions will be rescheduled at the student's earliest convenience at no extra charge.
• We understand emergencies happen — please communicate via WhatsApp as soon as possible.

4. Payment Terms

• Payment is due at the end of each session or as agreed in advance
• Accepted payment methods: Cash, UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm), Bank Transfer
• Package deals or monthly arrangements may require advance payment — details confirmed on WhatsApp
• The free trial session requires no payment whatsoever

5. Code of Conduct

To ensure effective coaching sessions:

• A quiet, suitable learning environment should be available at the student's home during sessions
• The coach treats all students with respect and patience regardless of their level
• Students (and parents of minor students) are expected to treat the coach respectfully
• Any concerns about session quality should be raised directly with the coach on WhatsApp

6. Results Disclaimer

While ChessWithRahul is committed to providing the highest quality chess coaching, results (such as specific rating improvements or tournament outcomes) depend on the student's consistent practice, attendance, and individual aptitude. No specific outcome is guaranteed. Testimonials on the website reflect real student experiences but individual results may vary.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on chesswithrahul.in — including text, teaching materials, videos, and images — is the intellectual property of ChessWithRahul. Content may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without explicit written permission from the coach.

8. Limitation of Liability

ChessWithRahul's liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific session in question. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our services or website.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Maharashtra, India. Any disputes shall be resolved through mutual discussion and, if necessary, in the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of our services after any updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
