Trainer FAQ

Do I need to be a FIDE-rated player to apply? +
No. FIDE rating is not a requirement. We care about your chess knowledge, your ability to communicate clearly, and your passion for teaching. Strong club players and inter-college champions have made excellent trainers on our platform.
What is the commission structure? +
Commission details are discussed privately with each trainer after the initial interview. We believe in transparency and fair compensation — our model is designed for long-term partnership. WhatsApp Rahul directly if you want to discuss before applying.
Do I need to travel to students' homes? +
Home visits are our primary model since that's what students book us for. However, we also have online coaching slots. You can specify your preference in the application — trainers who do both home + online earn the most.
How quickly will I get students after joining? +
Most new trainers get their first student within 1–2 weeks of going live. The speed depends on your area — high-demand areas like Andheri, Kandivali, and Powai fill up fastest.
Can I coach on weekends only? +
Yes. Several of our trainers are weekends-only or evenings-only coaches. You set your own schedule and only take the slots that work for you.
